The Agua Mansa Lateral is a pipeline that spans approximately 4,550 linear feet and has a diameter of either 8 inches or 12 inches. It serves as a connection for high saline wastewater in Rialto and Colton. Currently, the Rialto Bioenergy Facility (RBF) discharges its wastewater into the Reach IV-E siphon. However, with the construction of the Agua Mansa Lateral, RBF will be able to redirect its discharge away from the IV-E siphon. Construction for this project is expected to begin December 2023 through March 2024.
