David J. Slawson

Commissioner Slawson was appointed Alternate Commissioner to SAWPA Board of Commissioners on January 15, 2019.
David J. Slawson served as Board President from January 2007 to January 2009. Both a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and licensed California Attorney, he is a former member of the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
He is president of Winchester Associates, a civil engineering and land surveying firm. A longtime resident of Moreno Valley, Mr. Slawson is a board member of the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce, and a former Moreno Valley city planning commissioner.
Mr. Slawson represents EMWD on the board’s Operations and Engineering Committee and the Real Estate Committee. He also serves as liaison with Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, and a representative to the Western Riverside Council of Governments.
