SAWPA is the proud recipient of some prestigious awards for its excellence in financial reporting:
Since 2010, SAWPA has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Comprehensive Financial Report (Audit) from the Government Finance Officers Association.
Since 2007, SAWPA has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the Budget.
Commissioner Compensation and
Benefits Transparency
The SAWPA Commission, which meets monthly on the first and second Tuesday, is comprised of five representatives and five alternates. SAWPA Commissioners receive a maximum per diem compensation of $260.00, plus mileage at the current IRS rate, in accordance with the adopted policy. No benefits are offered.
Staffing Transparency
California State Controller – SAWPA’s Compensation Policy is to set competitive pay levels in the labor market.
Employee Benefits – SAWPA employees receive benefits for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and paid leave.
Enterprise Systems Catalog
Approved on October 11, 2015, SB 272 adds a section to the California Public Records Act requiring local agencies to create a catalog of Enterprise Systems by
July 1, 2016 with annual updates.
